The specific and primary purposes of this corporation are:

(a) Sponsor, establish and maintain programs and projects in the Counties of Northern California (the “North State Service Area”) to provide services to enrich, enhance, maintain, sustain and help make more productive the lives of seniors, adults with disabilities, and other adults in need. Such programs and projects shall include but not be limited to adult day programs, case management, social services, health-related services, in-home support services and other programs that promote independence and enhance quality of life.

History of Golden Umbrella

Golden Umbrella began serving seniors in 1968 and was developed from a Project Find Grant to seek out isolated, needy, and disabled seniors in Shasta County and implement action to help them. A Multi-Purpose Senior Center where seniors could come together to fulfill many of their social, physical, and intellectual needs had its Grand Opening on May 17, 1970.

History of SSNP

SSNP was formed in 1979 to assist seniors in preserving their independence by providing opportunities to receive meals and transporation services, and take part in activities to enhance their dignity and encourage their continued involvement in the community.
